HRC Foundation's Youth Well-Being Program is dedicated to improving the lived experience of LGBTQ+ youth in everyday institutions of daily life.

HRC Foundation's Youth Well-Being Program is dedicated to improving the lived experience of LGBTQ+ youth in everyday institutions of daily life--families, schools, after-school and out-of-school enrichment programs, summer camps, community centers, health and wellness programs, child welfare, juvenile justice, and other systems of care.

The Youth Well-Being Program includes the annual Time to THRIVE regional summit, Project THRIVE, the Youth Ambassador Initiative, and a portfolio of training, professional development, and educational resources to help youth-serving professionals promote the overall well-being of LGBTQ+ youth.

15,000 Youth-serving professionals

who serve 2 million young people have received professional development from Youth Well Being's annual Time to THRIVE conference, webinars, and participation at other major national convenings.

30+ National professional associations

representing over 7 million youth-serving professionals receive direct support and technical assistance from the Youth Well-Being Program, advancing their LGBTQ+ inclusion efforts, including adopting stronger LGBTQ+-inclusive policies, position statements, resolutions and member resources.

100+ Diverse LGBTQ+youth

have their voices amplified by the Youth Well-Being Program, allowing their stories to motivate adults to create safe, inclusive spaces for them to thrive.

Youth Ambassadors

Youth Ambassadors provides a leadership opportunity to LGBTQ+ young advocates who are interested in helping raise awareness of HRC’s efforts to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ youth at home, at school, at work, and beyond through storytelling.

Project THRIVE

Project THRIVE is a multi-year national campaign to create more equitable, inclusive support systems, and communities for LGBTQ+ youth. Project THRIVE will build the skills and capacities of all youth-serving professionals to better meet the needs of LGBTQ+ young people.

Time to THRIVE

Time to THRIVE is an annual regional summit for educators, counselors, social workers, and other youth-serving professionals to learn how they can create and continue to foster safe, inclusive, and affirming environments for LGBTQ+ youth.
