The Center for Affiliated Learning (The CAL)

The Center for Affiliated Learning (The CAL) is an education and training platform owned and operated by Affiliates Risk Management Services, Inc.

You will find a range of free online trainings ranging from basics of LGBTQ+ patient-centered care to more specialized topics such as serving trans youth. CME/CEU credits are available after completing the training courses. Below are the courses available.

Introductory Series - These courses provide a general introduction to your LGBTQ+ patients. Please note that there is significant overlap in the content of the three series. You will only be able to complete one of these series.

Advanced Series - The courses provide more comprehensive information and are primarily intended for clinical staff.

About CME/CEU Credits available for these trainings

Affiliates Risk Management Services, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Affiliates Risk Management Services, Inc. is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

If you are a physician, you will receive an AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ certificate of attendance with the designated credit amount.

If you are a nurse, you will receive an ANCC contact hours certificate of attendance with the designated credit amount.

For all other health professionals, you can submit a certification of your participation in the approved activity to your professional licensing board to request a transfer of the credit into the appropriate amount of continuing education units.
